SLURM Exporter
Custom Prometheus exporter replacing an inaccurate legacy setup; parsed live compute usage, eliminating 10–20% errors and enabling better partitioning + visibility.
Portfolio
Research Software Engineer • HPC & GPU Acceleration
Research Software Engineer specialising in high-performance and GPU-accelerated computing. I partner with scientists to scale and optimise research workflows. Ph.D. in physics; motivated by practical impact and tough technical challenges.
Who I am
I’m a Research Software Engineer focused on high-performance computing and GPU acceleration. I work closely with scientists to scale and optimise their research, bringing a rigorous, physics-driven approach to problem-solving and software design.
Interests: HPC, numerical methods, physics simulations, and practical applications of large-language models (RAG, inference on accelerators). I enjoy building tooling that makes complex workflows reliable and fast.
What I’ve built
Custom Prometheus exporter replacing an inaccurate legacy setup; parsed live compute usage, eliminating 10–20% errors and enabling better partitioning + visibility.
RAG system over internal technical docs; end-to-end pipeline with open-weights, Dockerised services, and accelerated inference on Nvidia A100s.
What I use
Where I studied
Computational physics and fluid dynamics; large-scale simulation and HPC workflows.
Advanced methods for continuum mechanics and numerical modelling.
Physics with strong emphasis on mathematics and computation.
Where I’ve worked
Delivering performant, scalable scientific software across the research stack. Focus on optimisation, parallel programming, and GPU acceleration; partnering with domain experts to ship robust HPC workflows.
Built and maintained Python/JavaScript tools and APIs to support research. Containerised deployments with Docker; iterated with academics to meet objectives and integrate with existing workflows.
